Entry Requirements
The nature of both the learning and assessment required for the qualification is such that candidates will need literacy and numeracy skills: i.e. the ability to read and interpret written tasks and to write answers in a legible and understandable form. Candidates will also need to be able to organize written information clearly and coherently, although they will not be assessed for spelling or grammatical accuracy, unless this is part of the assessment criteria. An ability to understand and carry out exact instructions is essential due to the nature of the activities.
The selection procedure for all students will be by interview, satisfactory reference and successful completion of an initial aptitude test. If the above is completed satisfactorily, candidates may be offered a place on the Entry 3, Level 1 or Level 2 full time programme.
Progression & Assessment
At all levels, achievement will result from
- Satisfactory exam results
- Completion of a Portfolio of Evidence
Progression onto the next level will depend upon your exam/portfolio results and behaviour throughout the academic year.
Duration & Location
One year on a full time basis for each level
