Level 3 Award in Body Massage

This course provides all the underpinning knowledge for the practical application of massage.  You will be taught in our commercially based salons equipped to a professional standard.

The course includes:

• Swedish massage techniques
• Consultation
• Contra-indications
• Health and hygiene
• Local by-laws
• Applied anatomy and physiology
• Posture
• Adaptations of massage
• Practical experience on clients

Applicants must have a consultation with a member of the beauty staff before enrolment onto the course.
 

Students must wear appropriate uniform.  Suppliers' details and order forms for the uniform will be sent to students as part of the enrolment process.

Your progress will be continually assessed through a series of assignments and practical activities, portfolio of evidence and external multiple choice testing.

On successful completion of the Award in Body Massage, students may progress onto the Diploma in Body Massage or Complimentary Therapies.
