Course Description
This course offers an engaging programme for those who want to have a career in Administration. It will extend knowledge, skills and understanding of this area of work and is particularly suitable for those wishing to change career or move into employment following a career break.
You will study a range of units to develop skills, knowledge and understanding of working in business and administration. These will include some or all of:
• Principles of Personal Responsibilities and Working in a Business Environment
• Principles of Providing Administrative Services
• Principles of Managing Information and Producing Documents
• Principles of Supporting Business Events
• Building Working Relationships with Customers
• Principles of Supporting Change in a Business Environment
Entry Requirements
Each applicant will be interviewed and considered on an individual basis. There are no formal entry requirements but an interest in the subject area would be expected.
Progression & Assessment
The programme units will be assessed via coursework to include assignments, performance observations and time constrained individual and group work or on-screen tests.
On successful completion of the programme, students could progress to employment as an administrator within the business and administration department/unit of an organisation
Duration & Location
This is a part-time course for 4 hours per week over a period of 26 weeks. Start dates to be advised.
