Course Description
The course provides knowledge of medical terminology, medical abbreviations, classification of drugs and prescription abbreviations. It will be useful to those working, or interested in working, in the medical environment.
Students should equip themselves with a ring binder and a medical dictionary.
Regular homework is included.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements.
Progression & Assessment
At the end of the course, there will be an exam based on the knowledge acquired on the course.
There is no direct progression, but a variety of business and administrative courses are available.
Duration & Location
The course runs for 2 hours per week for 23 weeks. Attendance will be on a Thursday from 9.00 to 11.00 am.
