Course Description
This course is designed for those wishing to improve their knowledge and understanding of computerised accounts (using Sage line 50 for Windows)
Contents:
- Processing accounting transactions
- Producing customer and supplier documentaiton.
- Producing reports such as aged creditor analysis and sales day book summaries for management purposes.
Entry Requirements
A knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting techniques is required - this may have been acquired via the bookkeeping and accounts courses run by the college, or through work experience or other similar qualifications.
Progression & Assessment
Students' work is assessed via a 2 hour exam, marked by the awarding body, City &Guilds. Successful completion of the course leads to the award of a C&G Award in Computerised Accounts Level 2.
Students who successfully complete this course may choose to progress to courses provided (at Lincoln College) by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), which are nationally recognised accounting qualifications. Students who successfully complete the C&G Award in Bookkeeping and Accounts, Levels 1 & 2, and the Level 2 Award in Computerised Accounts, can be given exemption from the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting and progress straight to the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounitng. Duration & Location
This is a 10 week course starting Tuesday 27 March 2012 from 6.00 - 9.00pm
NOTE: Due to the short duration of this course there is an attendance requirement of 100%. The C&G exam is scheduled for the final week of the course.
Fees
The fees for 2011/12 are £220
This is a full cost course with no fee remission.
