Course Description
This course offers an engaging programme for those who want to have a career in IT Support. It will extend knowledge, skills and understanding of this area of work and is particularly suitable for those wishing to change career or move into employment following a career break.
You will study a range of units to develop skills, knowledge and understanding of working in systems support. These will include some or all of:
- Customer Service
- Installation of Hardware
Entry Requirements
Each applicant will be inteviewed and considered on an individual basis. There are no formal entry requirements but an interest in the subject area would be expected.
Progression & Assessment
The programme units will be assessed via coursework to include assignments, performance observations and time constrained individual and group work or on-screen tests.
On successful completion of the programme, students could progress to employment as an IT Support member of staff in the IT Services department/unit of an organisation.
Duration & Location
This is a part-time evening course for 3 hours per week over a period of 36 weeks, starting in September 2012.
