Course Description
An opportunity for learners to experience and gain at level 2 the underpinning knowledge required within the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and to support learner progression.
The programme consists of a range of engineering units, introducing Engineering Environment Awareness, Techniques and Principles, which are complemented by Functional Skills in Application of Number.
Entry Requirements
A minimum requirement of three GCSE’s; grade E in Mathematics, Science and an English subject, and also satisfactorily completing an entry test and interview.
Progression & Assessment
Assignments, practical tests, and online exams.
On successful completion of the Diploma, the learner’s will progress to the Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations. This is studied in the remaining 17 weeks, and progression is subject to the learners displaying sufficient aptitude and enthusiasm.
Duration & Location
19 weeks (3 days a week)
Fees
If you are under 19 on 31 August in the year when your programme begins and study more than 12.5 hours per week, you will be entitled to free tuition and no examination fee wherever you live provided you are a European Community National. Please ask our Guidance Services for details.
