Course Description
The ECDL is an computing qualification that is widely recognised by employers.
ECDL Essentials is a Level 1 qualification. It is an excellent introduction to the world of IT, with units covering the fundamentals of using IT, with a particular focus on the first steps in using a computer, explanations of the internet and email and how they can be used safely and productively
The course can be studied using both Windows XP with Microsoft Office 2003 or Windows 7 with Microsoft Office 2010.
Entry Requirements
Although there are no formal entry requirements for enrolment onto this course, some basic computer use would be an advantage. Can you turn the computer on and use a mouse? If so, this course may be suitable for you.
Progression & Assessment
The course is split into 3 modules. Each of the 3 modules is completed by passing an independant assessment. All assessments are taken at the Learning Shop.
On successful completion students can progress to ECDL Level 2.
Duration & Location
Courses running throughout the year within The Learning Shop and typically take up to 65 hours of study with a minimum attendance of 4 hours per week at times to suit you. Sessions available Monday to Friday including Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
Fees
This ECDL Essentials course costs £79.
