Course Description
The level 3 Logistics Operations Management NVQ focuses on the skills necessary to identify the logistics requirements of a supply chain and promote and maintain health, safety, security and compliance in logistics operations.
The qualification is suitable for those who work or would like to work as operations managers, supervisors or team leaders in the logistics industry. The qualification also enables learners to develop management skills in areas such as auditing stock levels, improving quality of operations and leading your team.
Learners must complete 3 mandatory and 5 optional units to achieve the qualification.
Mandatory units
- Identify the logistics requirements of a supply chain
- Promote and maintain health, safety and security in logistics operations
- Promote compliance of logistics operations with legislation, regulations and organisational procedures
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking this NVQ. However, candidates must have the potential and opportunity to gain evidence for the qualification in the work place.
Learners must have access to sufficient equipment in the workplace in order to cover all of the practical activities.
Progression & Assessment
Candidates will have access to a tutor who will support them throughout the programme. The tutor will agree a schedule of work that suits the individual in terms of their existing commitments and workload. Candidates will be required to prepare a portfolio of evidence that reflects their competence at performing the necessary skills associated with the qualification and will be assessed by practical assessment.
Duration & Location
The course will typically take around one year to complete.
Fees
The fee includes work place visits, observations, portfolio building, registration with the awarding body and guidance. Fees are payable at the beginning of the programme.
