Course Description
The ILM Level 2 NVQ in Team Leading has been specially designed for team leaders (with limited authority for managing resources) that are looking to motivate their team members and achieve agreed outputs. The qualification aims to give candidates an opportunity to develop the core competences needed by today’s team leaders.
Content
Candidates are required to take four mandatory units and two optional units.

The wide choice of optional units ensures that the qualification can be tailored to meet the varying needs of the candidates and their employers across all sectors.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal educational requirements but candidates will undertake an intitial assessment to determine that the course is appropriate for their skill level. Candidates should normally be employed in team leading role; those who are not currently in employment may be able to join the programme if they are able to gather evidence of recent team leading experience in a paid or voluntary capacity.
Progression & Assessment
Candidates will have access to a tutor who will support them throughout the programme. The tutor will agree a schedule of work that suits the individual in terms of their existing commitments and workload. Candidates will be required to prepare a portfolio of evidence that reflects their competence at performing the necessary skills assoicated with the qualification.
Duration & Location
This level 2 NVQ can typically take up to 12 months to complete.
Fees
The fee includes work place visits, observations, portfolio building, registration with the awarding body and guidance. All learners on this programme will gain free studying membership of the ILM for one year: designed to help candidates get the most from their course and advance their management career. Studying membership gives access to a wide range of specialist support and development materials and services.
