What do we offer?

As a large general college we can offer training in a wide variety for a wide variety of occupational areas. Some of the courses we offer are listed below, but it is not an exhaustive list, so the best thing to do is speak to us. We will talk through the needs of your business, and identify where additional training is needed to help your company flourish, and we'll then advise you on how you could get this training. If we can't offer you the training you need, we will know someone who can and will refer you on.

Qualifications

The majority of courses featured below are delivered in the work place, many of which are National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs). NVQs are tailored training for individuals through a model of Assess – Train – Assess through on the job observation and questioning. The tutor / assessor takes into account previous experience and achievements and provides further underpinning knowledge to allow a portfolio of evidence to be assembled. The course has a strong practical element in the work place. Some courses require attendance at college, or if you have a number of employees requiring training in a particular subject area, training may be possible on work premises. Other training methods used are online learning and book based distance learning to offer the most flexible training to meet workforce needs.
