Accommodation
Living with a local family
Many international students benefit from living with a family in Lincoln: English is spoken all the time and host families provide students with a good opportunity to understand the British way of life and culture.
The college keeps a list of approved homestay families which are near to the college. Where the homestay is over 3 miles away, students are provided with a free unlimited travel local bus pass for the first ten weeks of their course. Homestay includes a private room, meals with the family and laundry facilities. The cost is approximately £85 per week.
Halls of residence
Halls of residence are available on the college campus and in the local area. These are administered by private companies. Students have a private single room and a dining kitchen, shower room and WC shared with the other flat mates. Each kitchen is equipped with a cooker, microwave oven, fridge, freezer and kettle. The cost is between £60 and £80 per week depending on the room and facilities. Students need to sign a contract with a relevant company before they move in.
Flats and houses
Lincoln has a wide range of flats and houses for students to rent, many of which are within walking distance of the city centre and the college. Flats and houses are cheaper in Lincoln than other big cities such as London and Manchester. A student can expect to pay about £50 per week for a flat if it is shared with other students.
