Lincoln College has very kindly donated some IT equipment to the Grove School for their use after updating the College’s systems.

It will be put to great use as it will deliver some much needed relief on storage space restrictions for the curriculum and administration functions at the school.

Darren Belcher, Network Manager at the Grove school said that storage space on their system is a particular problem; their hard drive which is used to save student work and resources is down to the last 15Gb of space.

Darren Belcher commented on the equipment’s usage:

“First I am intending to replace all six 72Gb hard drives to increase their capacity before adding the other disk array to increase storage capacity further. The remaining servers will be used to upgrade existing servers to increase performance and the switches will be configured the same as our existing switches and retained to use where needed.”
