Support for You
Supporting You
Our Student Services team are here to help you with any questions or problems you have before, during and after your time at College.
Career advice and guidance
Our Guidance Advisers are able to offer impartial careers information, advice and guidance to current students and anyone thinking about coming to College to learn new skills or update existing qualifications. We help you draw up an action plan of the steps you need to take to achieve your career and education goals. Our service has achieved the prestigious nationally recognised Matrix quality award.
Pastoral and welfare support
We provide a confidential counselling service to students while the Chaplain offers spiritual support. We are developing relationships with other faith leaders locally to support the growing number of students from other faiths.
Students with learning difficulties and disabilities
We can assess the support needs of students who identify themselves or are referred by tutors. A large team of specialist staff support students with learning difficulties and disabilities. The team provide support, specialist equipment and adapted resources. We are also responsible for arranging exam concessions and extra time for students with a disability or health problems.
