What will College be like in September?
We are working hard to create a learning environment that is as close to “normal” given the current circumstances.
Your timetable will be a blend of lessons in classrooms and workshops on our campuses and some elements of remote learning from home.
We are doing this to ensure we can manage the amount of people on our campuses at any one time whilst still making sure you get high quality face-to-face teaching, especially for practical sessions.
We have done a huge amount of work over the Summer to create a safe environment, including implementing lots of signs to remind you about social distancing and hand washing. We have fitted hundreds of new sanitiser points and we have adapted classrooms and workshops to allow for safe distancing.
You can read all of our Coronavirus guidance and policies here
To keep everyone safe there are also some new temporary rules for students in place while Coronavirus is still with us.
Your IT Account
Once you’re fully enrolled, you will receive a text and email with details of your College IT account. Keep this safe – you'll need it once you start College. You’ll have an ILT induction with one of your tutors, usually during your first week.
The College has an online password reset service, so you can easily reset your password if you ever forget it.
· Click on “My Account” to get started and register your security questions.
· Login using the username and password you’ve been sent by text and email
· Follow the instructions on screen to set the answers to your security questions
Keep your computer account details safe
You must not share your computer account details with anyone else
You will need your College computer account details when you start your course to access College systems including College computers, Office 365, WiFi, Virtual Learning Environment, Library eBooks and online resources.
Please note that some College systems require a separate account. You will be informed about this by a member of staff when you start your course.
