A qualification in accounting will always be helpful – whether it's used professionally or personally. It’s also an excellent complementary subject to Business, Economics or Maths. This course helps you to understand the responsibilities of the accountant and the impacts of their recommendations on the business and the wider environment.
You will build knowledge and understanding of key concepts, principles and techniques that they can apply to real-life scenarios, developing the ability to solve problems logically, analyse data methodically, make reasoned choices and communicate effectively.
During this course, you’ll study:
Analysis and evaluation of financial information
Budgeting
Accounting for limited companies
Capital investment appraisal
Preparation of financial statements.
Entry requirements
You’ll need GCSEs in Maths and English at grade Four/C or above.
Assessment & Progression
Assessment: Assessment is by external examination at the end of the two years of study.
Progression: Completion of A Level Accounting will be prepared for further study at university or to explore options to study professional qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIMA or CIOT.
