The AAT Education and Training scheme offers 3 levels of study:  Level 2 Certificate in Accounting, Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting. 



This course allows you to develop on your accounting skills and experience from Level 2, allowing you to progress within the sector and cover a wide range of accounting roles.  Students must register with the AAT to be eligible to sit the examinations.  This programme is also available as an Apprenticeship giving young people aged 16 and over the opportunity to combine the experience of working, with the added benefit of college attendance on a day release (or evening) basis.

Management Accounting: Costing

Indirect Tax

Ethics for Accountants

Spreadsheets for Accounting

Successful completion of the Level 2 Certificate in Accounting learners may progress onto the Level 3 Diploma.  Direct entry applicants will be required to undertake an on-line assessment to determine their entry level.  Students transferring from other learning providers to Lincoln College will be required to provide a reference and undertake the online assessment.

AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting

AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting

Over 21 with 5 years’ full time practical accounting experience

A Level Accounting HNC or GNVQ Business and Finance



(Lincoln College will require a photocopy of certificates prior to enrolment)

All units are assessed by AAT computer based tests which are taken as students progress through the course.



Progression



On successful completion of the Level 3 Diploma in Accounting, students may progress to the Level 4 Diploma in Accounting Preference for enrolment will be given to those students who have passed all of their examinations at the first attempt with good feedback. Those students who have not passed their examinations at the first attempt, but have passed the overall level, will be reviewed by the course progression board.
