If you want to pursue a career in accountancy then this is an excellent place to start, this course will provide you with the underpinning skills and knowledge to progress through the levels of AAT accounting courses.
Successful completion of this course may allow you to progress onto a Level 3 qualification, further developing your skills and knowledge in accounting.
During the course of the programme, you will study: Processing Bookkeeping Transactions; Control Accounts, Journals and the Banking System; Working Effectively in Accounting and Finance; Basic Costing; Computerised Accounting and Professional Ethics in Accounting and Finance.
You should possess good numeracy and literacy skills before starting the qualification and must be working a minimum of 30 hours per week. GCSE's in Maths and English minimum Grade C is desirable.
Assessment is done through college based, online tests.
