This qualification develops the knowledge and skills needed when working with adults in health and social care environments. It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health care procedures. It has three pathways: Generic Health and Social Care; Dementia and Learning Disability.
This apprenticeship also develops the knowledge for Employment Rights and Responsibilities, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills and builds on your current English and Maths skills.
Upon successful completion you may be able to progress onto the level 3 Apprenticeship.
You must achieve a successful diagnostic assessment in English, Maths and ICT at Level 1 and be in employment for 30 hours a week.
Assessment is a combination of practical tasks, written assignments, oral discussions
