Apprentice Engineering Fitter - DYNEX SEMICONDUCTOR LIMITED

We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and dedicated Apprentice Engineering Fitter to join our team. Reporting to the IGBT Operations Manager, the Apprentice will work as part of a small team who will support as the Apprentice learns about IGBT Engineering and the daily activities that a Technician / Engineer undertakes.

We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and dedicated Apprentice Engineering Fitter to join our team. Reporting to the IGBT Operations Manager, the Apprentice will work as part of a small team who will support as the Apprentice learns about IGBT Engineering and the daily activities that a Technician / Engineer undertakes.

As the apprentice settles into the role, they will support the team as well as take on individual projects and tasks. These tasks could include:

  • Projects focussed on continuous improvement for i.e. yield and / or processes
  • Supporting with process integration and development
  • Applying technical knowledge in determining the cause of processing problems, problem solving and restoring equipment to an operational condition
  • To produce or refurbish the components fitters will interpret drawings / specifications and plan their work, for example ensuring they have the right tools, equipment and resources to complete the task to the required specification
  • Assist in producing documentation updates for Operator processes
  • Help production to achieve sales objectives

Skills Required

  • Experience of working in a small team

  • Have attention to detail

Qualifications Required

5 GCSEs to include English and Maths and, preferably, Physics at Grade A*/9 to C/4 (or the equivalent).
