Trepko are looking to recruit a local and dedicated Apprentice Engineer to join their well-established organisation based in Gainsborough. Forming part of the Made in Gainsborough Apprenticeship Programme, this apprenticeship is one of the first of its kind in the area.

The first year of the apprenticeship will be spent predominately at Gainsborough College working towards a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Engineering.

During this time you will also spend some of the working week and non-college days in Trepko Uk Ltd alongside your new team.

Upon successful completion of this, you working towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship in a relevant discipline within the organisation itself, attending College on a day release basis.

Duties will include, but will not be limited to;

  • Developing an understanding of the principles of engineering
  • Engineering such as welding and fabrication, design, electrical, manufacturing and mechanical engineering
  • Becoming competent in the safe use of machinery
  • Developing an extensive awareness of health and safety requirements and understanding how these apply both in the workplace and in College

  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Have sound IT skills
  • Be able to work flexibly
  • Be able to meet and, where possible, exceed deadlines
  • Have excellent timekeeping abilities

Qualifications Required

Typically 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or higher, including English, maths, and Science or relevant experience.
