Apprentice Hairdresser - Lilac’s Hair Design

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Lilac's Hair Design to become their new Hairdressing Apprentice. The successful applicant will attend formal training at Lincoln College starting in September. You will learn to cut hair using a range of techniques to create a variety of looks as well as other duties.

What Will the Apprentice Be Doing?

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Consultation
  • Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp
  • Cut hair using a range of techniques to create a variety of looks
  • Style and finish hair using a range of techniques to create a variety of looks
  • Colour and lighten hair using a range of techniques
  • Perming hair
  • Receptionist skills
  • Helping stylist
  • General good house keeping

What Training Will the Apprentice Take and What Qualification Will the Apprentice Get at the End?

The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Hairdressing Level 2.

Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals (Hairdressing/Barbering) 

All apprentices will complete the core skills and knowledge (Part 1) and will choose the occupational option route for hairdressing or barbering (Part 2) Part 1 – Mandatory core skills and knowledge for hairdressing and barbering.

Functional skills if required.

The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course. This is a Day Release programme which means you will attend Lincoln College, 1 day per week, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours.

Employment and progression within the organisation may be possible upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Start date with the salon will be discussed after the interview process and the successful applicant will start College in September 2024.
