What Will the Apprentice Be Doing?

We offer a varied work environment with many different types of equipment that require a hands-on approach to maintain and run.

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Technicians will undertake operating, testing, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a range of sometimes complex equipment.
  • Also planned preventative and reactive maintenance programmes.
  • You will be responsible for the quality of your work and possibly others’ always ensuring the work is completed safely, to a high quality, standard, and in a timely fashion.
  • Whilst maintaining the efficient running of plant and equipment.

What Training Will the Apprentice Take and What Qualification Will the Apprentice Get at the End?

The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Level 3.

The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course. This is a day release programme which means you will attend Lincoln College, 1 day per week, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours.

What is the Expected Career Progression After this Apprenticeship?

There will be opportunities for career progression within our organisation, due to continued expansion and growth.

Apprentices who complete this apprenticeship will be classed as 'Time Served Engineers' and as such opportunities within engineering are wide and varied. They may take on a promotion at their employers or look to develop their career in other areas of the UK or overseas. They may also choose to continue with their education and study engineering on an HNC/HND program or a degree.


Things to Consider

Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984; Section 21 and a DBS check to be completed on the successful applicant. The apprenticeship will commence in September, with the possibility of commencing employment before September.
