We are currently seeking an Apprentice Nursery Nurse to join an enthusiastic team at The Sir Donald Bailey Academy to complete an Early Years Educator Apprenticeship. You will ensure the children are cared for in a happy, secure and stimulating environment.

We are currently seeking an Apprentice Nursery Nurse to join an enthusiastic team at The Sir Donald Bailey Academy to complete an Early Years Educator Apprenticeship. You will ensure the children are cared for in a happy, secure and stimulating environment.


What Will the Apprentice Be Doing?

Duties will include, but will not be limited to;

  • Support and understanding of child development
  • Safeguard the welfare of children
  • support, develop and maintain relationships with children
  • communicate with children
  • Support children’s positive behaviour and respond to inappropriate behaviour
  • Understand the needs of children who may be experiencing poverty and disadvantage

What Training Will the Apprentice Take and What Qualification Will the Apprentice Get at the End?

The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Early Years Educator Level 3, including paediatric first aid.

Training will take place in the workplace with regular visits from an assigned assessor. 


What is the Expected Career Progression After this Apprenticeship?

If any Childcare Assistant positions come available after apprenticeship they are welcome to apply.
