Study Details

You will study on the Lincoln College Campus for the full duration of the course.

Full Time - 3 Years

14 hours per week.

Whilst the sessions delivered at College will typically fall between Monday and Friday from 9am – 5pm, it is expected that students will complete the online study, in addition to the independent study, outside of these times. Students should also make themselves available to complete work experience hours outside of these times. Many of the opportunities offered through the college will require commitment during evenings and weekends.
A minimum of 64 UCAS Tariff points from the following:
GCE A and AS
Levels
BTEC National (90 Credit Diploma, Diploma or Extended Diploma) in a
relevant subject
Scottish Higher/Advanced Higher with at least one subject
at Advanced Higher.

For mature applicants, experience may be taken in
lieu of qualifications that carry UCAS Tariff points.

(Level 2 Functional skills is not taken as an equivalent)

Progression
On successful completion of this
course, graduates have a strong set of practical skills for pursuing a career
within the computing and IT industry. Graduates will have the capability to
adapt and respond to the changing and diverse nature of the sector. Graduates
could also complete postgraduate courses at an alternative university or pursue
a teacher training qualification.

Additional compulsory course costs will be paid for using the
Career Degree Bursary. The scheme allows students to access the remainder of the
bursary (up to a maximum value of £500 / £250) for additional optional courses,
workshops, professional memberships and resources. There is no cash alternative.
Students who wish to access opportunities in excess of the Career Degree Bursary
may do so at full cost to themselves.
