Certificate in Criminology Level 3

An understanding of criminology is relevant to many job roles within the criminal justice sector, social and probation work and sociology and psychology. WJEC Level 3 Applied Certificate in Criminology is a qualification with elements of psychology, law and sociology that complements studies in humanities. This is an Applied General Level 3 qualification. The qualification allows you to acquire knowledge and understanding in purposeful contexts linked to the criminal justice system. The qualification is suitable for those progressing from study at Level 2 in GCSEs or equivalents in Sociology, Law, Psychology, Citizenship, History and Humanities.

You will need 5 GCSEs (minimum grade 4/C or above), to include Mathematics (Grade 4 and above) and English Language (Grade 5 and above).

Assessment is by assignments and written examination
