This distance learning qualification is ideal for those who wish to pursue a career within the Care Sector. This qualification covers a wide range of topics including the principles of infection prevention and control. Other units include topics such a understand the purpose and principles of infection control, understand how regulations inform policy and practice and understand the role of risk assessments. Learn the sterilisation process, learn how to safely handle laundry, learn how to safely handle sharps and learn the importance of maintaining a clean environment.
There are no formal entry requirements but this course is ideal for anyone wishing to pursue a career in the Care Sector. This course is funded through the College's Adult Education Budget. You must be 19 or older on the first day of the course, be living in the UK on the first day of your course, and have lived in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man for 3 years immediately before this.
Continued on line assessment throughout the course. You will be expected to complete and submit units on a regular basis.
