Computer Technologies and Systems Level 2

“What will I learn?

Computing is one of the most popular career choices within the UK, as of February 2014 the UK government identified that the ICT sector was worth £58 billion. Including the creative and digital industries, the IT sector employs over 1 million people or 3.7 per cent of the country’s active population. It is predicted that as a knowledge-based economy in the UK becomes a reality, that nearly half of the UK’s GDP will come from this sector within the next decade.

The Level 2 programme is delivered by a team of subject specialists who have an average of 12 years computer science teaching experience this is an important difference between us and most schools and sixth forms that normally only have one or possibly two teachers to teach the whole curriculum.

The course offers topics such as:

• Improving Productivity using IT

• Website software

• IT Security for Users
