
If you want to pursue a career in performing arts then this is an excellent place to start. This course will provide you with the underpinning skills and knowledge to develop your experience in performance, acting, dance and technical theatre.
Upon successful completion, you may be able to progress onto a Level 3 course, enabling you to further develop your skills and knowledge on all aspects of your chosen profession.
During the course, you will work in a theatre setting and develop singing, dance and acting skills. You will learn rehearsal techniques and develop your performance skills.
You will organize your research and reflections into a portfolio for submission.
You will need 3 GCSE’s including English Language (minimum Grade 3) or equivalent qualifications.
You will be required to attend an interview, where you have an audition. You are also required to provide a reference (from an employer or recent school/college report).
There is no exam. Coursework is all internally assessed through a combination of interim and formal assessments at the end of each project. The final project is graded pass, merit or distinction.
