If you want to pursue a career in theatre production then this is an excellent place to start. This course will provide you with the underpinning skills and knowledge to progress through the levels of theatre production. You will gain practical experience as you work through a series of projects. You will take part in several performances during the year, keeping a reflective journal of your progress.
Upon successful completion, you will be able to seek employment within the performing arts industry or progress onto Higher Education.
During this course, you will explore, both theoretically and practically, the following topics: working as part of a crew to release small and large scale productions which includes music gigs, pantomimes, plays, musicals, exhibitions, pubic events and corporate events and the history of the performing arts business.
You will need 4 GCSE’s including English Language (minimum Grade C) or equivalent qualifications.
You will be required to attend an interview, where you have an audition. You are also required to provide a reference (from an employer or recent school/college report).
Assessment is a through regular internal assessment.
