Learn the techniques to make a guitar to a design of your choice.
The part time course is based in the workshops of the highly regarded Newark School of Guitar Making.
The course provides an opportunity to learn the basic techniques and processes involved in making a guitar.
It is the perfect introduction for anyone who wishes to build up specialist knowledge and skills while working at their own pace, either with a view to planning a career in the lutherie trade or just to develop a hobby and make their own instrument.
On the course students will gain practical experience in everything from guitar design to methods of construction, use of tools and finishing techniques.
Students can keep a record that documents all the stages of their work. If your aim is to complete a finished guitar in the year this will involve extra time in addition to classes.
There are no qualifications required for this course. This course is only available to learners aged 19+
