Facilities

We have state-of the art equipment, including a fully-equipped TV studio, editing suites, a photography studio and darkroom; so whether you are producing films and visual effects or learning how to take impressive photographs, we will prepare you for a career in the industry.

Work Experience

Students can thrive in a creative and dynamic learning environment. They will have the chance to explore various fields such as filmmaking, studio and live TV production, documentary-making, radio and podcasting, print and digital media, as well as game design. Throughout this course, numerous exciting opportunities await them to acquire practical experience, including involvement in our captivating TimeLiNe Magazine, engaging PM-Pod, and impressive NCM Productions.

Careers

You can use our Career Coach to research roles in your area of interest, including job opportunities and earning potential.

Freelancing

Many students may choose to enter the industry as freelance filmmakers or create their independent producitons. This path allows for creative freedom and the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.

Production Assistant or Assistant Roles

Starting as a production assistant in various departments, such as a camera, lighting, or art, is a common entry point for many aspiring filmakers. These roles provide valuable on-set experience and the chance to learn from professionals whilst working their way up the industry ladder.

Technical Training

A huge range of course options

As an adult you can apply to study any of our technical training courses at any level to gain recognised qualifications. This means you have a huge range of study options from engineering and construction to the arts, media and performance.

You can study these courses on a part-time or full-time basis. Full-time generally means a time commitment of the-days-a-week and part-time generally means one-day a week (this can vary depending on the course).

Often you will be in a class with our younger learners, although some courses naturally attract more mature learners.

Our experience is that a blend of ages creates a richer learning experience in terms of the variety of perspectives and experience.
