Skills for Health and Social Care -  Newark

This is an Entry Level to Level 1 programme which will develop the skills required for a vocation working within the “Health and Social Care” profession. It is for school leavers and young people who need extra support with learning. A greater sense of independence and self-confidence will be achieved by building on skills and strengths.



All courses include elements of English and Maths, learners will follow accredited Functional Skills qualifications.

There are no formal entry requirements needed but the right candidate should have a desire to progress, a strong interest in Health and Social Care and a willingness to learn.

Assessment is a combination of practical activities and collation of work in a portfolio.



Progression



This course offers learning support with their studies and the curriculum is geared to get learners to progress their individual living skills and develop themselves in ways which will assist them to make the transition onto mainstream studies or supported employment.
