If you are 19+ on 31/08/2020 and undertaking a course up to and including Full Level 2, you may be able to get help with the cost of course fees through the Lincoln College Fee Remission Policy.

For more information contact our Information Officers on 030 030 32435 or email: enquiries@lincolncollege.ac.uk

Most learners aged 19 or over on 31/08/2020 and undertaking a Further Education funded course at Level 3,4,5 or 6 can get help toward course fees through the Advanced Learner Loan scheme. Some learners aged 19 to 23 may be able to get help for their First Full Level 3 qualification through the Lincoln College Fee Remission Policy.

The Advanced Learner Loan is not means-tested and does not require a credit check.

It will help you cover the cost of your tuition fees, and you won’t start paying it back until the April after you have finished your qualification and you are earning over £26,575 per year (or equivalent). This amount may be subject to change.

If you are undertaking an Access to Higher Education course and then go on to complete an HE qualification, the outstanding balance of your Advanced Learner Loan will be written off.

Before applying for an Advanced Learner Loan you will need a Learning and Funding Information Letter (LFIL) from the college.

If you have already applied for a place on a course with us and been made an offer you can expect to receive your LFIL from July onwards. Your LFIL will provide all the information you need to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

It is important you consider your financial circumstances and look into all options for paying for your course before choosing to take out a loan. You can get impartial financial advice from the Money Advice Service

Advanced Learner Loans do not cover Degrees or other Higher Education course fees. For more information on funding for HE see our HE Fees and Funding section.

You will be responsible for paying your course fees if your Advanced Learner Loan application is not approved.

For more information about the Advanced Learner Loan scheme click here or email us at advancedlearnerloans@lincolncollege.ac.uk , or contact the Financial Support Team on (01522) 876000 or (01636) 680680.
