Learners worked together to solve problems, overcome obstacles and develop their team-building and leadership skills.
It was also the first time the students have had the opportunity to undertake the ‘official’ RAF fitness test which helps prepare them for what to expect when going through the RAF application process.
Student Shanna Gillman said: “I thoroughly enjoyed completing the tasks, they gave me confidence as a leader and to put trust in the people around me.
“I learnt many things on this day. One thing I learnt was to have faith in myself and what I’m doing, such as in the fitness test and what I am capable of. I also learnt how to work as a team efficiently.”
A&DCC Lead Ross Tarnowski said: “This was an excellent opportunity for our students to undertake leadership and team building activities at RAF Cranwell.
“The experience of being under pressure and having to work together to achieve a common goal will really help with their individual development towards a career in the RAF or wider aerospace and defence industries.”
