Colin spoke to students about the four fundamental British values, democracy, rule of law, liberty and respect. He also spoke of how all of these values interlink and underpin society.
Students also took part in a Q&A session, where they were given the opportunity to ask questions prompted by Colin’s talk, opening a discussion around the theme of British values.
He said: “I think British values go back centuries and have been shaped by our history. Our country has shaped rule of law not only in Britain, but across the world.
Offering his advice to the students, Colin said “You have the tools now with technology to change the world for the better. Technology is a tool to a better society but not a tool to replace society.”
