Natasha Mutti won her regional heat of the competition in Bradford while she was still a student at the college in May.
She will now take her striking designs to join 600 students at the national finals at the NEC in Birmingham from November 16 to 18.
Natasha said she was really excited by the idea of competing on a national level.
Natasha, who also won Makeup Artist of the year at another national competition this year, is currently completing a private fast-track course in level 2 hairdressing, before completing a further course to enhance her prosthetic skills.
WorldSkills UK Competitions bring together apprentices and young people from across the country to compete to be the best in their chosen skill.
They are designed to inspire next generations to be ambitious in their pursuit for excellence, while equipping them with life-long, world class skills.
The winners of the national competition form a team that can go forward to compete in the International World Skills final, which was held in Abu Dhabi this year.
Natasha's tutor Sharon Croft said: “I’m sure Natasha is so talented and I'm sure she will realise her dreams of becoming a film industry makeup artist. I'm very proud of her and I have told her that when she is accepting that Oscar she has to remember where it all started.”
