From 4pm today Sherlock, The Magic Emporium and Contagion are open seven days a week at the College’s Monks Road Campus.
Escape Lincoln Managing Director Tom Owen said he was really excited about the opening.
“As soon as the College approached us about its old prison and courtroom buildings we knew we had to check it out. The character and the atmosphere of the place are perfect,” he said.
“We’ve carefully crafted rooms that tie in with the history of the building, using a blend of high tech gadgetry and high drama live-actor interaction.
“We’re really proud to be part of the College family now and we’re looking forward to involving students in the development of the business as we grow.
“We’re already getting booked up in the run-up to Christmas so visit our website and sign up for a game now.”
Escape is a team game ideally for two to six people. The Escape model is based on team-building exercises where players are locked up in a themed room and must work together to solve live puzzles and complete a series of challenges to Escape within one hour.
The games are a great way to have fun with mates, enjoy a family experience, or bond with colleagues as a team-building exercise.
Corporate bookings are available and currently groups of up to 18 people can be split across the three rooms. Four more games are also being designed and built over the coming months by the Escape team, increasing the maximum bookings to 50 players at any one time.
Lincoln College Group Director of Commercial and Partnerships Mark Taylor said: “We love what the Escape Lincoln team has done; the standard of the rooms is amazing.
“This joint venture project breathes new life into one of our oldest buildings and provides additional income for us to invest in education and training.
“But it will also bring thousands of people onto our campus to see not only the great learning facilities, but also our great leisure facilities.
“Any member of the public can use our state-of-the-art gym; our spa pool and steam rooms, or have a great fine dining experience at our Sessions restaurant. We hope Escape Lincoln will unlock some of these hidden treasures for locals too.”
