The Expo showcases the careers, training and education options available within Newark and the surrounding area.
The event is curated by Newark and Sherwood District Council alongside The Lincoln College Group and the Newark Advertiser, It enables local businesses and education providers to promote their services and meet with their potential future workforce and students.
Learners and staff from Newark College were on hand to engage young people in fun and practical challenges, while introducing them to the vocational courses and apprenticeships available. Included in the activities were hair and nails, boxing, electrical games, wood carving and an automotive simulator, plus more.
Advanced Curriculum Coach, Penny Taylor said: “We’ve got lots of interactive activities to emphasise how we promote active learning within the classroom to make learning more fun, while embedding maths and English skills.
