It’s time to invest in YOU!

October 18 2021

Project YOU has launched at Lincoln, Newark and Gainsborough Colleges as part of the #LoveOurColleges campaign during #CollegesWeek

We are working in partnership with Chesterfield College and Active Lincolnshire to deliver a huge range of free activities for staff and students throughout the year.

Sport, fitness and nutrition activities will be specifically aimed at boosting self-esteem and reducing stress and anxiety.

Confidence and resilience sessions will enable staff and students to cope with challenging workloads.

And focused employability sessions will help students transition into the world of work.

Staff and students can use a new app to book onto sessions that will be free throughout the year.

Lincoln College Group Managing Director for Education and Training Mark Locking said: “This is the most significant investment in health and wellbeing I have ever seen in a college or school and we are hoping it will have a massive impact on the happiness, healthiness and resilience of our students and staff.

“There are hundreds of free activities including gym classes, mindfulness exercises and resilience activities designed to help both our students and staff reach their true potential.

“Although investing in wellbeing to this extent is unusual – this is how it should be – one of our top priorities! We are carefully measuring the impact on these activities and we are hopeful that we can build a cast iron case to justify government investment in this area moving forward.”

Staff and students can download the Project You app in the App and Play Stores.
