Lincoln College launches a digital careers portal for the community

February 01 2018

Lincoln College is now providing a new digital careers service to its students and the wider community.

Anyone can use the Lincoln College Career Coach site to research and apply for the job of their dreams.

The portal offers a career search option that allows users to see what kind of work different jobs involve, what wage they can be expected to earn and what level of education they will need.

The site also provides information of the amount of job opportunities, whether the industry is growing or declining and the employers that offer the chosen career locally. You can then access job postings and apply.

On top of this there is a career assessment tool that asks you questions and then matches you to suitable careers and a function that helps you to build a CV to apply for the jobs you’re interested in.

Lincoln College Group Director of Marketing and Communications James Newall said: “This is a great tool that’s used in our tutorials for students to research the careers they want to pursue.

“It’s also really handy for visitors to the Lincoln College website who are exploring courses and apprenticeships we offer in Lincoln Gainsborough and Newark.

“The important thing to stress is that we want everyone to use it. We also want the local community to take advantage of the independent advice and guidance offered by our careers advice team.

“Anyone can call us to book a one-to-one appointment for careers advice – it’s not just for our students.

“We’re confident we can help you find the career of your dreams or plan a route to a change of career that won’t hit you in the pocket.”
