We support the employment of veterans, recognising military skills and qualifications in our recruitment and selection process. We also support staff who are members of the reserve forces and military cadet organisations, by granting 10 days additional leave, actively encouraging membership.
Lincoln College Group CEO Gary Headland said: “We work very closely with the Armed Forces both in creating young women and men with the right knowledge, skills and mindset to join the military and also to create great job opportunities for Service personnel when they are ready to retire.
“Service personnel come from the civilian community and ultimately return to it and we want that transition to be as seamless and stress-free as possible. Former military personnel also make terrific teachers and teaching leaders, deploying their extensive knowledge and experience in a different context helping our learners to learn – we are always keen to hear from them.
“I am very proud to be the President of the Royal British Legion in Lincolnshire and thus able to serve members of our Armed Forces community past and present, as well as their families, and create awareness of the essential support and services the Legion provides for those in need.”
