The ‘100 Voices’ tell the stories of 100 people who have experienced life in the RAF since its founding in 1918.
The wings have been commissioned by The Lincoln Business Improvement Group and Visit Lincoln as part of this year’s RAF centenary celebrations.
You’ll find the College’s stories on wings seven and eight located on Monks Road as part of the ‘Sopwith Camel Trail’.
The boards tell the tale of the role Lincoln College has played during two world wars – from giving women the qualifications they need to work in local aircraft factories to helping wounded ex-servicemen gain skills to get back in to work.
One of the wings also covers more recent events such as the opening of the first RAF Air and Defence Career College in Britain – which provides education and training to those who are interested in careers in the RAF, aerospace and catering industries.
The trails will be ready for take-off from Saturday 5th May for families to enjoy.
So why not ‘earn your wings’ and give us a flypast this bank holiday weekend?
