The annual event is the largest Business-to-Business showcase connecting businesses across Greater Lincolnshire.
Lincoln College Group CEO Gary Headland sat on a panel discussion entitled ‘Lincolnshire Business in 2018 and Beyond’ with representatives from University of Lincoln, City of Lincoln Council, Lincolnshire County Council, Streets Accountants and Ruddocks.
Gary said “One of the biggest challenges we face is providing training for job titles that do not exist yet… with one of the most important aspects to economic success being continuous workforce development”.
Gary and the panel emphasised the need for businesses to bang the drum for Lincolnshire collaboratively to celebrate our vibrant county, growing economy and raise the profile of organisations working in our region.
Mark Taylor, Director for Collaboration and Partnerships at Lincoln College, teamed up with Tina Jones, Director for Education at risual Education Ltd; The Digital Revolution Starts Here seminar gave businesses the opportunity to hear of the new digital apprenticeships at Lincoln College and what value they can add to their organisations, to existing employees and in attracting new highly skilled staff to help them grow their business.
Mark said “Being an employer-led college, it is crucial that we maximise the exposure and networking opportunities that events such as the Expo gives us. Having so many diverse employers under one roof offers us an unpanelled chance to promote the great work that all of our teams do in Lincoln, Newark and Gainsborough.”
