Park Air Systems explores the value of apprenticeships

January 22 2018

Lincoln College CEO, Gary Headland visited Park Air Systems, a Division of the leading global security company, Northrop Grumman, and met with Danny Milligan, the Managing Director.

Located in Market Deeping, the major, global engineering and manufacturing company specialises in; Civil ATM communications; Military Communications; ATM Information Assurance; and Services and Training.

Gary had a tour of the company facility which revealed a highly modern and engaged workforce with a clear mission and set of values. Gary saw first-hand the investment in innovation both to improve existing products and to create new ones.

Now in its 52nd year of operation, the international Lincolnshire-based company has had sales in 110 countries during the past three years.

Park Air Systems are keen to utilise apprenticeship courses at Lincoln College to help grow their company and develop their workforce for the future; the company is currently awarded an Investors in People Gold status.

Gary said “this sort of external employer engagement is vital to ensure that we understand and can predict the skills needs of our local and regional employers.  We will be following the visit up very quickly to provide solutions to help Park Air Systems to increase capacity and capability using Apprenticeships.”
