Students from the Level 2 and 3 Performing Arts course at Lincoln College were invited to sing a few Christmas songs on stage against the stunning backdrop of the nave of Lincoln Cathedral.
This is the third year students have been involved in the performance which takes place at the beginning of the famous Lincoln Christmas Market.
Lecturer Lee Harvey accompanied the students on stage by playing a grand piano, he said:
“This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to perform in the magnificent Lincoln Cathedral, experiencing the grandeur and the stunning acoustics of the venue.
“It really was a privilege to be invited back for the third year running to perform and we were delighted to have the opportunity to perform to the public visitors of the Christmas Market.”
Jamie Chatterton is in the first year of his Level 3 Performing Arts course, he said:
“It was a really great experience singing in the community at such a great venue.”
Student Libbie Savage said:
“It was the first time I have ever performed in Lincoln Cathedral and we had a full audience. The sound was amazing and I loved receiving the huge round of applause at the end.”
