Richard hall, a retiree and ex-police officer of over 30 years, decided to head back to the classroom to peruse his passion for photography.
With years of experience working with people from all walks of life Richard chose to focus his project around the streets of Lincoln.
The course has also allowed him to gain practical knowledge while gaining experience shooting local and live events.
He said: “Enrolling in the course at Lincoln College has been an inspiring journey.
“It’s been fascinating and given me so much joy. It’s made me realise I’d prefer to be poor and have time.
“My final year dissertation is coming up. While people are travelling around to find their subjects, I thought what better subject than the beautiful cathedral on our doorstep.”
So far Richard has taken the portraits of over 10 Lincoln strangers and you can check them out here on his Flickr page.
