Opened this term, Care College provides a unique training experience, designed to ensure students leave industry ready for their chosen careers.
Newark College has worked with industry partners to design the course to ensure it provides the exact skills and knowledge employers are looking for.
All this means that for the first time in the UK, students who successfully complete this course will leave with the nationally recognised gold standard care qualification, the Care Certificate. Students will also gain a Level 2 and/or Level 3 Care qualification.
Penny Taylor, Advanced Curriculum Coach at Newark College, said: “Care College provides a fantastic opportunity to get industry ready. The course means all students will have completed extensive industry placements in a variety of care settings and will be guaranteed a job or apprenticeship interview with one of our industry partners.”
Care College provides the training and qualifications for a number of career pathway roles, including: Senior Carer; Healthcare Assistant; Support Worker; Team Leader, Care management, Nurse and many more.
