Awards were presented to students who had shown ongoing commitment and dedication during their studies; there were awards for exceptional achievement across all subject areas and everyone was in high spirits.

Award winners and their guests joined tutors and business sponsors for a festive meal and award presentations with live music from Lincoln College Performing Arts students throughout the evening.

Host of the Gadget Show US and the Gadget Show UK, TV presenter and producer Jason Bradbury was the guest of honour at the event. He said:

“It is such a privilege to be invited as the guest of honour, I have such fond memories of my time studying my A-Levels at Lincoln College. The qualifications and experience I gained, and the relationships I built, had a lasting and meaningful positive impact on both my professional and personal life.”

Lincoln College Group CEO, Gary Headland spoke at the event:

“The annual Lincoln College Group Awards evening is one of my favourite events of the year as we get to engage with a wide range of employers and to recognise the achievements of our students and our staff.

“The bringing together of employers, students and staff in events such as this is critical to having a shared understanding of the needs of our regional businesses so that we can meet them.

“Thank you to our guest of honour and distinguished member of alumni, Jason Bradbury, and to businesses and employers for their continued support for this event and, perhaps more importantly, for their support all year round.”

At the end of the evening, the Student of the Year Awards were presented for exceptional achievement. Students were invited on stage to receive this prestigious award with Thomas Smith awarded the Student of the Year Stonebow Media Award in the aged 16-18 category. Johnny Lamas Santiago was awarded the Student of the Year KNOWHOW Award in the aged 19+ category. The Apprentice Student of the Year Streets Chartered Accountants Award was presented to Sophie Gottschall and the Student of the Year Streets Chartered Accountants Award for Exceptional Entrepreneurial Achievement was awarded to Shannon Webster.
