We are currently seeking Apprentice Property Maintenance Operatives to join our existing team in Lincoln. Successful candidates will have a keen interest in all construction trades to become a Level 2 qualified multi-skilled Property Maintenance Operative.
About the role:
Working under the direction and guidance of an experienced mentor, you will learn how to use materials and equipment safely and be trained to carry out all aspects of building maintenance and repair on various projects for our Lindum BMS division (Building Maintenance Services).
Your role could include:
Understanding electrical, plumbing, plant, safety systems and equipment
Providing first and immediate response to fault finding, whilst maximising quality and ensuring cost effectiveness
Ensuring prevention of major damage that could result in extensive costs and minimise reactive intervention
Our apprentices have a structured wage scale which increases incrementally with satisfactory performance reviews throughout the apprenticeship. Skills Required
You will be expected to get to and from work/college of your own accord. A current driving licence and your own transport (or intention to work towards) would therefore be an advantage
This role can be physically demanding at times
You must be hardworking and reliable with keen attention to detail and pride in your work
As well as good quality of work and overall performance, you will be expected to adhere to our high standards of health and safety whilst at work and at college
Qualifications Required
GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in maths and English.
